JDM Honda Fit Shuttle (dealer update)

After having a close look to both brochures and speaking with the dealer, here is what I can tell you :

*Contrary to some early rumours, it's not a 7 seater, but simply a 5 seater Fit Wagon. The front seems to come straight from the current US version (20cm longer) and the rear has been extended about 30cm to make room for a larger trunk, which becomes class leading in Japan when compared with other compact wagons like the Corolla.

*Inside expect a Fit except from higher trim details and options. According to the dealer Honda expects some people driving larger vans and wagons to downsize to the Shuttle, which is why special attention has been put over road noise, seating fabrics (which get a suede/leather combo standard on all models), etc.

*Outside you can see it in the pics, though those have been taken from a phone, probably not with the agreement of the dealer, and they are a bit distorted.

*Engines are either the 1.5L CVT or 1.3L CVT Hybrid (i.e. exactly the same as in the Fit but without the most popular 1.3L version). Right now I can't remember exactly but I think there was also a 1.5L 4WD 5AT.

*Rated FE is the same as in the Fit, i.e. 30km/L on the hybrid and 20km/L on the 1.5L FF gasoline. Note that those figures are Japanese 10-15 mode and not to be compared with anything EPA/EUDC stuff. As I said, rated figures are identical to the regular Fit's.

*As predicted by the early rumours, debut is said to be around March.

*Price to sit between the Fit and the CR-Z, which is not much to say. Personally, I wouldn't expect to pay more than 200k over the Fit, i.e. a bit less than for an Insight

concurrencer une corolla break? why not mais quel est le rapport poids-puissance de la fit shuttle hybrid? Usage uniquement en ville pour le mode hybrid alors :'(. Il n'y a pas d'auris hybrid break en vue semble-t-il en europe? La prius V est dans un autre registre (monovolume 7pl).
Pour une jazz "coupé", il y a le CR-Z qui peut encore être développé avec une version exclusivement essence, survitaminée et découvrable  :coolsmiley:

avec 4,41m de long, on est proche d'une insight break plutôt qu'une jazz allongée. En hybride, je maintiens mon point de vue : le système IMA avec le 1.3l cvt, c'est un peu léger :(.
La shuttle semble uniquement destinée au marché japonais. :'(
En tous cas, très "logeable" cette voiture même en hybride. O0

Ben en meme temps c'est la meme chose !! La insight etant une jazz allongee aussi. Quand au fait que ce soit le 1,3l l ima ...vue qu'au japon la limite sur autoroute est de 100kmh par exemple il n'y a pas de soucis de sous motorisation.

Ben c'est quoi le probleme alors ? le couple du moteur electrique aide bien dans ce cas. Et avec une boite CVt l'adaptation du couple demandé est on ne peut plus efficace.

Aucun problème, juste quelques réflexions. Je m'interroge seulement sur les performances du 1.3l cvt IMA pour faire bouger un véhicule plus lourd que l'insight ou la jazz lorsqu'il doit faire de la montagne à pleine charge.

Pour pouvoir le mettre en anglais il faut cliquer sur la case en haut à droite (juste à coté de la zone de recherche) puis on a un "english" qui apparait en dessous.
J'ai du cliquer partout avant de trouver  ;D

Prices of the new Fit Shuttle, which will be launched in March, will start from ¥ 1,650,000 for the petrol version, while the base price of the hybrid version will be ¥ 1,850,000. 15C and Hybrid C grades, which are business specification, are going to cost ¥ 40,000 cheaper than the standard ones. The 4WD model, available only with the petrol engine and 15X trim level, will cost ¥ 1,825,600
