2011 Honda Freed Hybrid rendering and information

According to a report by Japan’s Nikkei business daily, Honda will introduce a hybrid version of its Freed minivan in 2011. Honda’s  president Takanobu Ito also told Nikkei that Honda will introduce a battery electric vehicle by 2015.

Honda Freed is a  seven-seat Mini MPV produced by the Japanese automaker Honda since 2008. The vehicle is a replacement for the Honda Mobilio. The Freed is based on the Jazz/Fit platform.Main target of Freed is Japan but Honda also market Freed in Southeast Asian as they produce Freed in Indonesia.

Japanese’s Mag-x reveal a rendering of Honda Freed Hybrid which will slightly differrent from Normal Freed.expect new desgin front/rear bumper,new grille,new headlight and tail light.while the engine and hybrid platform will borrow from Honda insight and Jazz/fit hybrid.the Petrol I4  1.3 liter i-VTEC engine coupled with a CVT transmission and the electric engine.

The car will arrive next year.

The base Freed and Freed Spike uses a 1.5l SOHC i-VTEC engine and the new hybrid variants will also be using a 1.5l engine, i-VTEC with IMA. La différence entre la freed et la freed spike, c'est quoi exactement? La tôle (spike)  à la place de la troisième vitre latérale arrière? plus style camionette pour la spike...
Ils ne seront pas exportés en Europe...

Dommage qu'ils n'importent pas l'airwave en europe !! Elle aurait sans doute plus de succes que la insight !!

Pas mal. Quelqu'un sait ce que sont les espèces de "blocs" plats dans le coffre de la Spike ? L'une des photos suggère qu'ils sont amovibles. Sinon on dirait que la Freed a des sièges standard tandis que la Spike a une banquette magique comme la Jazz.

EDIT: Ok j'ai ma réponse en vidéo, ces plaques de coffre peuvent se retourner pour passer d'une configuration "coffre plat" avec les banquettes rabattues, à une configuration "seuil de chargement bas".
