Jean-Marc Streng appointed General Manager, Car Division for Honda Motor Europe
Jean-Marc Streng was promoted to General Manager, Car Division for Honda Motor Europe (HME) on 1st April 2013. His new responsibilities cover Sales, Business Planning, Dealer Development, Logistics and Supply for the European Region. He reports to Toshiaki Konaka, Car Sales Director for Honda Motor Europe.
Jean-Marc joined Honda Motor Europe in December 2011 as Head of Car Sales covering 21 countries and 17 distributors, following 5 years as Head of Car Sales and Logistics for Honda in France.
Jean-Marc’s main priorities in his new role are to further develop sales methods, monitor dealer activities and strengthen sales operations of Honda branches around Europe.
Commenting on his appointment, Jean-Marc said, "Honda’s registrations in Europe have risen by 7% in the last fiscal year* and in 2013, Honda will introduce its new 1.6 i-DTEC engine to the CR-V and launch a totally new Civic Tourer to extend its range, so it is an exciting time for the business, as we look to strengthen sales throughout our European markets".
Jean-Marc Streng, 45 years, studied Finance at The European Business School. Former Audit Manager for Price Waterhouse Coopers in France, Poland and Russia, Jean-Marc then joined Skoda France in 1999 as Finance Controller and moved from there to become a Regional Sales Manager for Volkswagen. He joined Honda France Car Division in 2007 as Head of Sales and Logistics
